Already for the 9th time ICARUS Croatia, supported by ICARUS – International Centre for Archival Research, organises the annual ICARUS Croatia Days. This year the event will be hosted by the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, the Centre for Cultural Heritage and other partners.
Under the title “Heritage Beyond Borders: Cultural and Educational Practices and New Perspectives” the event will be carried out within the frame of the Creative Europe project AtoM – Archives and Traces of Migration dealing with documenting and exploring archival heritage related to past and present migrations. Following ICARUS Croatia Days’ previous reflections on archives’ and heritage institutions’ work in digital society, this conference will also address creative perspectives and innovative approaches to communication of cultural, historic, and artistic heritage, especially in the framework of Creative Europe and audience development programmes as well as the implementation of digital tools in the cultural heritage sector.
This conference will also present international projects and initiatives in GLAM, art, science and education communities connected to topics such as digital storytelling and education, networking and the use of multimedia in representations of cultural heritage. Different digital platforms as well as various projects and programs reflecting interdisciplinary collaboration in the domain of culture, education and academia will also find a place in this event.
The call for papers is open and contributions to the conference programme can be submitted either directly via email to info.icarushr@gmail.com with the following information: name and surname, affiliation and presentation title with short abstract (max. 500 words). You can also add this information in the registration form, at latest until 7 February 2024.
