”Harnessing STEAM to Solve Global Challenges”

The Global STEAM Conference 2025 ”Harnessing STEAM to Solve Global Challenges” will take place virtually on September 4, 2025. It is organised by the Green Institute and brings together experts, innovators, and thought leaders to explore how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) can be harnessed to address the world’s most pressing challenges. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and cutting-edge solutions, this conference aims to empower global communities to create sustainable, innovative futures for all.

The conference’s subthemes emphasize the vital interplay of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) in tackling the world’s most urgent challenges. By fostering innovation and creativity, these areas offer transformative solutions to issues such as climate change, sustainable development, global health, and cultural sustainability. From harnessing artificial intelligence and advancing green engineering to leveraging artistic expression and data analytics, the discussions aim to inspire interdisciplinary collaboration. Submissions addressing these themes, as well as other relevant topics that align with the conference’s mission of fostering equitable, inclusive, and impactful solutions, are highly encouraged.

We are delighted to announce that our Finnish Time Machine Ambassador and valuable team member Dr. Juha Henrikkson has been invited as a speaker of the conference. He will be discussing the triple transition from the perspective of digital cultural heritage, focusing on Europeana, the common European data space for cultural heritage and TMO.
