Our RFC Editor and Time Machine Ambassador Juha Henriksson has published an article in the Finnish magazin Faili – Journal for Information Management and Archiving explaining how the Time Machine RFC process works.
Abstract
”Time Machine uses the Request for Comments process, which is familiar from the drafting of Internet protocols, when collectively writing specifications related to the project. Time Machine’s RFC documents are managed via the GitHub service. The topic of this article is Time Machine’s RFC process and GitHub, but it also gives some more general ideas on how to collectively produce documents in large projects.”
