Intangible Heritage Photos Drawings, prints, and other pictorial sources Archaeological or architectural heritage Tools for data enrichment Crowdsourcing / Citizens’ science Digitization of collections
Flore de Gand is delivering the digitisation (for Ghent University’s archive and heritage portal) of the tangible and intangible heritage of the university’s botanical garden in Ghent and the city’s famous horticultural scene of the nineteenth and first half of the twentieth centuries. Flore de Gand covers all horticultural heritage, from flower market squares, green houses and monuments to historical herbaria, images, photographs and posters.
For automatic metadata enrichment of images and photographs, Flore de Gand uses technology developed in the EURECA project and crowdsourcing methods (for validation).
