UNESCO is developing a global policy and regulatory agenda on Open Science (UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science) that will include Citizen Science as one important pillar.
Our friends over at ECSA (European Citizen Science Association) have created a Citizen Science & Open Science Community of Practice (CoP) within the Citizen Science Global Partnership to establish a cooperation with UNESCO on that initiative.
The first request of this partnership with UNESCO is to produce a short paper by the end of May 2020. The paper shall reflect the Citizen Science perspective on Open Science and its development in future.
To create this short paper in the short time frame provided, ECSA kindly requests input and references to relevant documents.
We invite you to fill out the questionnaire prepared by ECSA to share your views and provide existing material regarding Citizen Science perspectives on Open Science.
The time afforded to ECSA by UNESCO is tight; therefore, please provide your input by Thursday, 21 May 2020. The questionnaire shouldn´t take longer than approx. 15 minutes to complete.
After the survey closes, ECSA will analyze the results and offer them to UNESCO as the Citizen Science community’s perspective. The results will also be shared with major citizen science listservs, and published on the Citizen Science Global Partnership (CSGP) website.
