ICARUS and its affiliated friends’ association ICARUS4all have started to run a series of online events exploring the possibilities for researchers during the lockdown and pandemic crisis, when all archives, public offices, etc. were closed.
The digital era we live in today offers many opportunities to do research online. The team of ICARUS & ICARUS4all invited the community to get to know the network’s different platforms, follow exemplary users and join a lively discussion afterwards.
On 4 subsequent Thursdays from the end of May to the end of June 2020 the community explored the following topics:
- Thursday, 04.06.2020: Topotheque – the platform for regional history and private collections (video)
- Thursday, 18.06.2020: Monasterium – the platform for digitised charters
The final event on Thursday, 25.06.2020, will be dedicated to our Time Machine Network, presented by vice president Thomas Aigner.
