Don’t miss our Time Machine Round Table at the 25th Conference on Cultural Heritage and New Technologies
Date: 6. November 2020, 11.00 – 12.00 am CET
Venue: Online
The Wien Museum’s department of Urban Archaeology stages it’s international conference “Cultural Heritage and New Technologies” for the 25th time! Sadly the current pandemic situation does not allow to actually physically meet in Vienna, so the conference was transferred into the virtual space.
The topic of this year’s conference is “Artificial Intelligence – New Pathways towards Cultural Heritage” and it intends to showcase best-practice AI applications but also wishes to discuss the potential and limits of various AI approaches such as the amount of labelled data required.
On Friday, November 6th, TMO’s board members Andreas Maier and Sander Münster will head a Round Table with the topic “The Power of the Big Data of the Past – Building Blocks towards a virtual Time Machine“
The session includes three presentations:
- Jonas BRUSCHKE, Cindy KROBER, Heike MESSEMER: Insights into Collections of Spatialized Historical Photographs
- Aline SINDEL, Andreas MAIER, Vincent CHRISTLEIN: A Visualization Tool for Image Fusion of Artworks
- Sander MÜNSTER, Ferdinand MAIWALD, Mathias HOFMANN, Walpola Perera: Introducing an Automated Pipeline for a browser-based, city-scale mobile 4D VR Application based on Historical Images
